Beauty Obsession: T3 Bespoke Labs Medium Duality Iron

I’ve been on the hunt for a new flat iron for awhile. I researched for months and since I had fallen in love with the Bespoke Labs Featherweight Dryer, I decided to give the Medium Duality Iron a try. I couldn’t be happier with my decision. I’ve been straightening my curly hair for the past decade, so it’s essential that I switched to an iron that was less damaging on my tresses. T3’s patented Tourmaline technology seals in the cuticle and locks in hair's own natural moisture.. It cuts my straightening time in half and I can control the heat setting. Plus, if I feel like adding a sexy wave or flip, this iron can do that too. I'm in love. Truly, madly, deeply in love. Available at Sephora.

Isla Fisher: Bruno Los Angeles Premiere

Isla is wearing a Stella McCartney dress. The dress is sweet, flirty and 60's inspired. She accessorized with rose gold shoes and supercool gold jewelry.
For Isla's face, I used mark Face Xpert in Natural, applying it with the mark foundation brush. Then, I applied mark Glow Xpert Face Shimmer in Candle Glo, above her cheekbones, using the mark foundation brush. I set her foundation with mark Powder Buff in Natural using the mark powder brush. After Isla's foundation, I apply mark Bronzing Powder in Bronze, using the mark blush/bronzer brush, to her forehead, cheeks and chin. For Isla's cheeks, I dusted mark Good Glowing blush in Sun Love Glo, using the mark blush/bronzer brush, to the apple of her cheeks. For Isla's eyes, I used I-Mark eyeshadow in Corset, applying it with the mark eyeliner brush. I smudged Corset along the top and bottom lashes, staying very close to the lashline. Then, I applied mark Get in Line liquid eyeliner, and lined the top and bottom of her lashline, connecting the two lines and winging it upwards. To finish the eyes, I applied two coats of mark Lash Splash in Black. For Isla's lips, I used mark Pro Gloss in Swell.

Sarah Chalke: Women in Film Awards

I was also able to work with lovely Sarah today. This is what I used on her face: I applied Face Xpert in Natural using the mark foundation brush. I used Good Riddance in Fair/Light under her eyes. I brushed on Powder Buff in Buff all over the face using mark the powder brush. For the cheeks, I used Good Glowing Mosaic blush in Sandy using the mark blush/bronzer brush. For her eyes, I layered I-mark in Latte and Corset. First, I applied Latte, from the lashline to the crease using the mark eyeshadow brush. Then, I layered Corset on top of Latte. I took the mark angle contour eyeshadow brush to blend both colors into the crease. I mixed Latte and Corset and smudged it under her bottom lashline, using the mark eyeliner brush. I brushed on two coats of Make it Big in Raven. For her lips, I mixed Pro Gloss in Sexy and Swell. All products available at www.meetmark.com

Beauty Obsession: Make Up For Ever HD Line

My main gripe when I do my makeup is that my skin never looks even. (Only when I am lucky enough for Mai to do it for me does it look flawless.) While Mai can conceal the redness on my cheeks effortlessly, for me this is no small feat. I have tried green-hued primers to counteract my redness, and I have hated them all. So at the recommendation of my friend—the lovely makeup artist Amy Chance—who raved about Make Up For Ever’s new HD line, I checked out their HD Microperfecting Primer in Green. I’m loving it. Not only does it glide on smooth, it moisturizes my dry skin and completely evens out my skintone. Seriously, every time I wear it under my Armani Luminous Silk foundation, someone complements me on my skin. Any product that gives me great-looking skin is one I’m not willing to live without. And while I’m busy swooning all over this primer, Mai is really digging the HD Microfinish Translucent Powder. She likes it because it is finely milled and leaves the skin very matte without looking too cakey. She says it's perfect for touch-ups! Available at www.sephora.com

The Sweetest Thing: Summer Promo at TheBeautyCloset.com

I'm a sucker for Paul & Joe's packaging, especially their limited edition collections. Last Spring's Sweetie Collection was probably my all-time favorite. The lipsticks were so sheer and pretty and the packaging delectable. Since it was a limited edition, it is no longer available. But, being that I'm a sucker for sweetness (and self-promotion), the first 20 customers to spend $50 on Paul & Joe at www.thebeautycloset.com will receive one of these items as a GWP. Uh, what are you waiting for?

Miley Cyrus: MTV Movie Awards 2009

I worked with Miley today for the MTV Movie Awards...and she won for Best Song from a Movie!!! Here's what I used to create her look:
For the face, I applied mark Face Xpert liquid foundation in Golden with the foundation brush. Next I applied mark Good Riddance concealer in light/medium under her eyes and around her nose, blending it with my fingers. I dabbed mark Glow Xpert in golden glow above her cheekbones to highlight. I set the foundation with mark Matte-nificent powder in buff/natural with a powder brush, to the T-zone. I dusted mark Bronze Pro bronzing powder to the forehead, cheeks and chin, using the blush/bronzer brush. For the eyes, I applied cream eyeshadow, mark I-glimmer in polished, to the entire lid of the eye using the concealer brush. I used mark Eyemarker pencil in jet and smudged the top and bottom of the lashline using the eyeliner brush. Then I layered mark I-mark eyeshadow in corset, from the lashline to the crease, using the eyeshadow brush. I took my angle contour eyeshadow brush and blended I-mark eyeshadow tiki with corset into the crease. I used an eyeliner brush to smudge tiki and corset on top of jet, onto the lower lashline. I finished the eyes with two coats of mark Lashsplash waterproof mascara in black. For the cheeks, I used mark Good Glowing blush in bronze glo. I applied it with an angle contour blush brush to the apples of the cheek. For the lips, I applied mark Dew Drenched lipstick in skinny dip. Followed by mark Glow Baby Glow gloss in tease.
